- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I came in here following a minor op to remove a cancer that had grown on my skin. It was a result of sun damage from childhood days when sunburn was not thought of as being harmful. Now we know its true dangers. After removal the wound healed very well but I was experiencing a great deal of pain. The area around the operation site had become infected. In true Christie Hospital tradition patients who suffer further complications after a procedure which, though not cancerous, will still be treated as a patient. You are part of the Christie family. I am still being treated here and cared for by a superb team of clinicians and feel confident knowing that soon I will be home.
